Beachclub Rules

                                                                                                        SCBC BEACH CLUB RULES

                                                                                 I.A.W. the Skippers’ Cove By-laws and Resolutions

• The beach is for the exclusive use of SCBC members, their guests, and authorized user (Not open to the Public).
• Bathing beach is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day from sunrise to sunset (closed at all other times).
• Emergency telephone (capable of 911 calls ONLY) is located in a watertight case near the rear of the Clubhouse from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
• Other emergency phone numbers and contacts can be located on the “Aquatics Plan” posted on the front and the rear of the Clubhouse.
• First Aid Supplies are located in the outdoor bathroom and on the wall by the Kitchen.
• Keep gates closed at all times.
• Climbing over fence is prohibited

• Use of sporting equipment is at your own risk.
• Spine board and other emergency equipment are located on the beach (in restroom).
• Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past seven days.
• All children in diapers MUST wear diapers specially designed for immersion in water (such as swim diapers)
• Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water.
• No animals (except for service animals) allowed on the beach or in the water.
• Glass containers and bottles are prohibited on the beach.
• Conduct which endanger the safety and comfort of others is prohibited.
• Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited from entering the water.
• No motorized vehicles, except for emergency & maintenance vehicles, are permitted in the bathing area during the hours of operation.
• No boating, water skiing, sail boating, windsurfing, scuba diving, or surf boarding is permitted in the swimming or bathing area during hours of operation.
• Rope drops are not permitted except those licensed and inspected be the Department of Community Affairs pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:3-31 through 55

                EMERGENCY BEACH EVACUATION PLAN

                          (Swim ONLY within roped area)

   During periods of inclement weather, resulting in potential danger, the beach should be evacuated using the following priority:

  • Exit water immediately.

  • Exit beach and seek shelter in your own home.

  • Exit beach and seek shelter in sponsors’ home.

  • Use overhang of Clubhouse for protection.

  • Enter Clubhouse if it is open/unlocked.

  • Open & use shed and/or bathroom for protection.

 

The phone at the rear of the Clubhouse can be used to dial 911.  

If required, due to an emergency, open the phone case, dial 911 and press send.

 

Telephone location:     attached to the Clubhouse near the                                                                   outside shower area.

Defibrillator location:  on the wall outside the kitchen.

First Aid Kit location:   on the wall outside the kitchen & in the                                                             outside bathroom
